Stupid Mistakes

Sometimes we make stupid mistakes....sometimes we make these stupid mistakes repeatedly. 

Actually learning from these stupid mistakes so you DON'T make them again in the future means you're growing up.

Random Thoughts

So....it's Friday the 13th...  I'm doing a pretty mundane part of my job that requires me to spend a lot of time sitting and waiting.  Sometimes my mind is known to wander.  Here are some of this morning's random thoughts:

• Hmmm…dating a prisoner….now that is a demographic I haven’t considered….

• Considering the inappropriate comments my FB friends made about my sore thighs I’m glad I didn’t share that I have rug burn on my elbows…

•  Perhaps I should learn to accept that skinny jeans are intended for skinny people…

•  I’m far too gassy to be in a relationship… 

In a further attempt to pass the time, I passed these thoughts on to my friends.  The only one that I've gotten any comments on is the last one.  REALLY?  Me being gassy is more interesting than the rug burn on my elbows or an interest in possibly dating a prisoner?

Unplugging

So...I've been trying to be less obsessed with email/Facebook/texting...It's not a New Year's resolution because I started before January rolled around...before Christmas actually... But I'm shutting down my computer and turning off my phone for at least 1 hour every day.  Some days it is painful...

About half way through my hour this evening I saw something I wanted to share with a friend...I reached for my phone...and then with a horrific sinking feeling I remembered...I had to wait.   OMG...torture.  The clock moved soooo slowly!  I had actual anxiety!  Can I get a prescription for Xanax to cope with technology withdrawals? 

Of course, the hour passed....I survived....and I haven't really heard from anyone since I turned everything back on anyway...  Hmmm.... pathetic.
